What does my registration include?
  • A Welcome Reception and meet the exhibitors on the evening of Thursday 28 November.

  • A stimulating and interactive two-day conference program covering plenary sessions with expert presenters, abstract and case study presentations, and poster display. Sessions form the basis of CPD activity, as required for registered paramedics, and can contribute significantly to the 30 hours of professional development for the first year of the national scheme, including the mandatory eight hours of interactive CPD.

  • Morning and afternoon tea and lunch on both days.

  • Optional attendance at pre-conference workshops* (Thursday 28 November).

  • Optional attendance at the Conference Gala Dinner* with live entertainment and research award presentations

*Must be booked and paid for separately.

I have already registered for the conference, but would like to add a pre-conference workshop and Gala Dinner tickets. How do I do this?

Pre-conference workshops can still be booked after you have registered for the conference. There are two easy ways to add them to your registration record:

  1. There will be a direct link to your personal registration file in your PAIC registration confirmation email - use this link to add a workshop, dinner ticket or update your contact details.

  2. Simply go to the PAIC 2019 website:

  • Click ‘Attend’

  • Select the registration category which applies to you

  • In the 'sign in with your existing account' tab enter the email address and password you created initially

  • Add a workshop, dinner ticket or update your contact details

If you need some help, contact us at info@paramedics.org or freecall 1300 077 006 in business hours AESDT.

How do I book accommodation?

There are many accommodation options offering a broad selection of price points in Hobart. We have secured some fantastic rates for delegates wanting to stay at Wrest Point, which you can access directly here https://reservations.travelclick.com/11382?groupID=2371049#/guestsandrooms.

Alternatively, check out some terrific offers from Mantra hotels and Peppers Hobart via Business Events Tasmania here.

When will the final program be released?

The preliminary program is already available via the ‘program’ tab on this website, and we will continuously update abstract and keynote content throughout September and October.

How many hours of CPD can I claim for attending PAIC 2019?

All conference delegates will receive a certificate of attendance. The way you record your CPD hours is vital. You decide how much time you wish to assign to each learning experience, depending on the length of the session you attended and the time you took to reflect on your learnings. Potentially, attendance at PAIC 2019 could translate to 16 or more hours, in addition to any pre-conference workshops you attend.

I can’t attend. Will content be made available for viewing?

Selected sessions will be made available via the Paramedics Australasia member-only eLearning portal.

I can’t attend. Will the conference be live-streamed?

No.

I want to submit a case study but cannot get patient consent, what should I do?

Contact Jamie Rhodes via jamie.rhodes@paramedics.org for assistance around submitting your case study, without patient consent.
